The Ashbory features the patented Ashworth transducer bridge.  Combined with the silicone rubber strings it is easy to create the growl of an upright or the punch of a standard electric bass. This is a necessity for any recording studio and great for live stage performance.  

The original Guild Ashborys have been used in performance and in recordings worldwide by numerous artists both famous and unknown.  These are cherished collector instruments as well.

With this re-issue, the struggle to find strings and parts is over.  Replacement strings and parts are now readily available.
